you'll put your eye out
Last weekend I went to Sapporo with Beth. She's on the ball and posted about it already, over here. And we met up with Sarah and met some of the characters on her website, including The Boyfriend and Sophia. And I want to get back to that, and I will, but let me ask you:
Have any of you tried the double eyelid glue? Wherein you put glue on your eyes? It sounds horrifying, but it can't be that much worse than fake eyelash glue, right? Which is uncomfortable and not something I like to do unless I'm getting up ridiculous, but I still have both of my orbs. Just wondering how this works. It's only 100 yen, and it's almost sold out! I hope someone can tell me if this is a successful and worthwhile product.

Yeah, I have a friend who used those. To be honest, they didn't really make a difference on her eyes. She stayed over my house a few times and she looked interesting when she put them on at night though. But then again, they're only 100yen, so you could try them. Do you not have the 二重? I'm weird because one of my eyes does and one of my eyes doesn't, but I prefer the way my non-二重 eye looks. If they sold eye tape to get rid of your 二重, I might try it!
ReplyDeleteSo you put it on at night, to make it stay that way? Kind of like face bra? I thought it was something you stuck on during the day to make your eyelids stay stacked like that.
ReplyDeleteI never really thought about my eyelids but I guess they're 2layer. I could use the glue to try to make them three layer, though! Start a trend.
I saw a show in over there along time ago about eyelid surgery, because some of the japanese girls wanted 'larger eyes'.

she was falling down on stairs and walking into walls and people!!
and after she had the surgery he eyes were as big as yours!
i guess that product is like a push up bra is to boob jobs. lol!

Yeah everybody here mostly wants larger eyes. Have you seen the scary eye makeup stuff that's going around the internet? Girls with and without their crazy eye makeup.

The eyelid tape/glue seems like a really important step in most of the really insane of the gyaru make-up transformations. I want to try it. I'm not sure how it would work on me, I have double-fold eyelids but I think the soft part above my upper lids could maybe be tucked in to make my eyes look wider. I'll try it next time I remember and let you know. I want to do a crazy gyaru makeup anyway, of course!
ReplyDeleteIt seems so uncomfortable, though. Eyelash glue isn't bad, if you do it right it's like a heavy liquid liner once it dries. But having your eyelids taped all day seems not fun, and not very good for them at all, since that's the most delicate skin on your body.

ReplyDeleteRight by Koenji station, it's called Aladdin like the one that used to be in Kichijoji, maybe it moved? I heard there's another good hookah bar in Shimo, but I'll probably be too lazy to look it up. I've been to this one a couple of times and kind of like it because I stopped in when a certain date was late and the cute bartenders and I commiserated a little.
